Our Story

Nadine and I are High School sweethearts, met in 10th grade, fell in love, had a falling out and started dating again.  We have been married for more than 38 years, have two great kids and five grandkids.  John grew up on Louis Lamour novels and always wanted to be a cowboy when he grew up and convinced Nadine how much fun it would be.  We bought a ranch close to our children (great move as we get to see the Grandchildren often) and started out raising commercial cattle.  We were fascinated by the smaller breeds of cattle that were more people friendly, more geared for the smaller ranch such as we have and finished well on grass as opposed to grain.  The Lowline breed fit this to a T. 

We expanded our interests in Lowlines and are now in full swing establishing our quality herd.  We have purchased some excellent Seedstock which have done very well in the shows.  Click on “Our Cattle” tab for a description of our excellent bulls and some of their ladyfriends.  We have always been health conscious and are raising all natural beef now with the intent of becoming Organic certified in the next 5 years.  We raise most of the feed for our animals feeding them a mixture of 75% Montezuma Oat Hay and 25% Alfalfa.  The quality of the meat and its taste is outstanding we are proud to say.  We intend to become a premier supply of all natural beef for our community.
